The new word for the week was withered.  I was reading Mark chapter 11 the other day, and it seemed like a good word to ponder. The story of Jesus cursing a fig tree has always bothered me. I often wonder if there is a deeper Hebrew meaning here that no western church can understand. I am sure there is a lot that Jesus did and said that is lost on our simple ‘westernized’ church taught minds. We really should dig deeper. So here is my response to that passage of scripture.
