Way too long

have been trying to paint again. Between teaching and the family, it is tough, but the last 3 weeks have been productive. I tried to go to a workshop in June, but it was full…so I bought the DVD and have been inspired! I was working on abstract landscapes, but have moved on to fruit and flowers. Here are a few that are done. I have been trying to work with color, lights against darks, for a more dramatic look.

Hi Karen,

I really love the bold colour and composition of these paintings. I was browsing WordPress blog posts with the ‘art’ tag and your painting jumped out at me. It’s beautiful!
